It is with a heavy heart, that Local 33 members say farewell to Alan James Chermak.

Alan James Chermak, age 78, born May 17, 1941 and passed July 21, 2019; beloved husband of Donna Chermak (nee Brookover) for 58 years; loving and devoted father of John Alan (Gwendolyn), Steven Michael (Linda), and the late Wendy Renee (husband Jim surviving); grandfather of Ayanda Ndlebe, Isabella Ndlebe, Justin Gardner, Luke Gardner, Mitchell Chermak, Dustin Chermak, and Baxter Chermak. Brother of Diana Chermak (deceased).
Big Al had a personality that was larger than life and had a giant heart, loved to spend time with his family and friends, and really enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up and play sports. He had a positive influence on many young people’s lives through the years. He was proud of being a Union sheet metal worker all of his adult life, where he represented both Cleveland Local 33 as a Business Manager and was a Vice President for the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association.

The family will be celebrating his life at BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Rd, Parma, OH 44129 on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 3:00-7:00pm with family remarks at 6:30pm.
